The EG Faithful
Flags, flares, drums and a lot of noise. Since the 2022 Super 6s, the EG Faithful have been the loudest corner of Saint Hill, and they travel too. If you want a seat in the stand, or a flag to wave, this is your crew.
Born at the Super 6s
The EG Faithful started organically at the 2022 Super 6s Championships. Men's 2s players Mike Lewis and Laurence Richards turned a few loud voices on the balcony into East Grinstead's own supporters' group, and it has grown every season since.
The Faithful crowdfunded more than £1,000 to buy the banners, flags and flares that now fill Saint Hill on match days, and they took around 250 East Grinstead fans to the Copper Box for Super 6s finals day. By their own count, that was more than Old Georgians, Surbiton and Wimbledon combined.
It isn't only about noise. The Faithful keep the hockey chat friendly with rival clubs, bring new faces down to Saint Hill, and remind the players every week that the town is behind them.
“The players told us in the bar how much it helps them having us sing.”
